A meeting of the Committee on Estimates of J & K Legislative Assembly was held here today. Chairman, Mr. Javid Hassan Baig presided.Legislatures Mubarak Gul, Mr. Ishfaq Ahmad Sheikh, Raja Manzoor Ahmad and Mr. Abdul Rahim Rather, who are members of the committee, participated in the meeting.The meeting discussed various matters relating to Estimates at length and gave various suggestions with regard to future course of action of the committee. Speaking on the occasion, the chairman urged upon the members to make the best use of their powers as people have pined hope on them. He also called concerned members to ensure punctuality in the committee meetings.Earlier, the members gave assurance of support to the chairman and put forth various suggestions to discuss the matters relating to Irrigation and Flood Control, Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution and Power Development Department during next meetings. They also gave suggestions for making the committee a vibrant tool for bringing transparency and accountability in the public delivery system. Secretary Legislative Assembly Mr. Muhammad Ramzan was also present in the meeting.
