Madan Lal Sharma Member Parliament Jammu Poonch Constituency while addressing a gathering at Kangrial termed the policies of UPA Government led by Congress as pro -poor and called upon the Panchayats to ensure the benefit of Centrally Sponsored Schemes to poor and marginalized. Mr. Sharma called upon the people to strengthen the bond of Amity and brotherhood for the overall development of the State in particular and Nation in general. Mr. Sharma said that peace, amity and brotherhood are pre-requisite for the progress and prosperity of the state or society.  He asked people to  be aware of the Communal forces which will try to pide for their vested interests.  He also felt the need to encourage the peace loving communities and discouragement to the trouble mongers and peace disturbing elements. 

Sharma said that during the past 9-10 years as MP, he has tried to address the aspirations of people from all communities, districts and faiths without any discrimination and will continue to work for the development of his constituency in every possible manner.  He also asked the party men to gear up for the forthcoming challenges and popularizes the pro poor decisions taken by the UPA Government at the centre in the shape of bringing Food Security Bill, Protection for the street vendors and Land reform bill etc. Elaborating further Mr. Sharma said that food security bill will provide subsidized ration to 75-80% people of the Country.  

Ensuring people rights to food by this Act, no one in the Country will sleep empty stomach.  He also lauded the UPA Govt. for passage of the street vendors (Protection and Promotion of livelihood bill 2011).  He said this bill has given sigh of relief to daily bread earners who were earlier harassed by Police and other law enforcing agencies.  Mr. Sharma also informed people about the provision whereby land of a farmer can’t be acquired without his consent.  He appealed the State Government to ratify these bills and implement in J&K on top priority for benefit of poor and needy. He maintained that the Congress is the only party which can move nation forward with secular image and credentials.  Mr. Sharma asked the officers present on the occasion to resolve the grievances of the people related to road connectivity, electricity, water and other basic amenities .Earlier MP dedicated one 100 KVA Transformer to the People of Panchayat Kangrial installed under MP LADS Scheme. Prominent among other present on the occasion and spoke includes Shri Kuldeep Raj Verma Vice Chairman OBC, Rajesh Bitto, Hukum Chand, Sarpanch Raj Dev Singh, Capt. K.L Sharma, Gurbachan Singh, Ram Paul Sharma, Rattan Singh, Kamal Pradhan, Raman, Mangat Ram, ViJAY, Suridnder  , Rahul Sharma, Ashish and many more.
