Chandigarh Management Association (CMA) & Fortis Hospital organized a talk on “How to manage Joint pain” at Fortis Hospital, Mohali. Dr. Simon Singh, Assistant Consultant, Orthopedics, MBBS, MS (Ortho), Fortis Hospital was the Key Note Speaker whereas, Dr. Anshu Kataria, President, CMA and Chairman, Aryans Group of Colleges presided over the event.Delivering the talk, Dr. Simon Singh, explained in detail all the aspects related to “Joint Pain”. He said that, we assume joint pain is a normal part of aging that we just have to learn to live with, but not in the era of Medicines, exercise, alternative supplements and joint replacement surgery.
Quoting few examples about the negligence of the people, he said that “Most of the people take joint pain, as a casual occurrence and do not consult a physician, which leads to more chronic pains. Joint pain is a serious disease too and needs proper diagnosis and consultation”.
Dr. Simon Singh further briefed about some key symptoms, to check the health of joints. Further he mentioned that Osteoarthritis, Gout, Rheumatoid arthritis and Fibromyalgia are amongst the main causes. He concluded with tips like Exercise, healthy weight healthy joints, stretching and proper diet.After the lecture, a Questions/Answers round was also held. Dr. Simon Singh made all the queries of the audience clear, regarding various problems and issues related to joints pain. The Master of Ceremony Mr. J.N.
