Deputy Commissioner Udhampur Minga Sherpa today chaired a review meeting of officers from various line departments to assess the physical and financial progress of works under the District Capex Budget 2026–27. During the meeting, the DC reviewed department-wise progress under the District Capex Budget, covering PWD, Rural Development Department, Health, Education, JPDCL and other sectors.

The DC directed all departments to ensure 100 percent allotment of sanctioned works at the earliest, expedite utilisation of allocated funds and accelerate the pace of ongoing projects to ensure completion within stipulated timelines. 

He asked departments concerned to mobilise adequate manpower and machinery, maintain close coordination to remove bottlenecks, strictly adhere to timelines, conduct regular field inspections and maintain quality, transparency and accountability in the execution of development works.

Among those present were Additional District Development Commissioner Jugal Kishore, Chief Planning Officer Uttam Singh, Assistant Commissioner (Panchayat) Dr Ashwani Hansa and other district officers.
