Nayab Singh Saini unveils development projects worth over Rs 337 crore in Naraingarh

Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini on Wednesday dedicated 325 Amrit Sarovars and 70 Advanced Life Support (ALS) ambulances to the people of the state while inaugurating and laying the foundation stone of development projects worth over Rs 337 crore at a function in Naraingarh, Ambala district. The projects include seven major healthcare initiatives worth Rs 114 crore, while 325 Amrit Sarovars, constructed at a cost of Rs 223 crore, were also dedicated to the people of Haryana.

Health Minister, Ms. Arti Singh Rao, Naraingarh MLA, Smt. Shalley Chaudhary , Additional Chief Secretary, Health,  Dr Sumita Misra, Managing Director, National Health Mission, Sh.  R.S. Dhillon,  Director Panchayats Department, Sh. Anish Yadav, besides Ministers, MLAs and other dignitaries from across the state joined the programme through video conferencing.

Addressing the gathering, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said the occasion was historic not only for Naraingarh but for the entire state, as the inauguration and foundation laying of projects worth over Rs 337 crore marked another important step towards realising the vision of a "Swasth, Samriddh aur Viksit Haryana."

Earlier, on the occasion of Doctors' Day, the Chief Minister extended greetings to doctors, nurses, paramedical staff, ASHA workers and all healthcare personnel. He also paid tribute to eminent physician, freedom fighter and statesman Dr Bidhan Chandra Roy, recalling his belief that "healthy citizens are the greatest strength of a strong nation."

Rs 858 crore development works in Naraingarh over the past 11.5 years

The Chief Minister said that with the projects launched on Wednesday, development works worth Rs 858 crore have been carried out in the Naraingarh Assembly constituency during the past 11-and-a-half years. Listing key projects executed in the constituency, he said the Yamunanagar-Panchkula National Highway-73 had been constructed at a cost of Rs 1,112 crore. 

Other completed works include the Government Women's College at Baragarh, the Fatehgarh-Raiwali road and bridge, the Naraingarh four-lane road, the Raiwali road and a modern sports stadium. He added that Community Health Centre buildings had been constructed at Shahzadpur and Ambli, while Primary Health Centre buildings at Bhurewala, Dhanana and Chhansoli had been constructed or expanded.

New 50-bed hospital block inaugurated

Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said a 50-bed hospital block, built at a cost of nearly Rs 32 crore, was inaugurated on Wednesday, taking the capacity of the Civil Hospital to 100 beds. A Block Public Health Unit, built at an estimated cost of Rs 50 lakh, was also inaugurated to strengthen healthcare services at the local level.

He further shared that a Regional Horticulture Research Centre of Maharana Pratap Horticultural University, Karnal, had been established at Chhansoli at a cost of Rs 13 crore. The Chief Minister said this year's state Budget had announced a new Government Polytechnic Institute for Narayangarh. 

He said  that 10 new Industrial Model Townships (IMTs) are being established in Haryana, including IMT Ambala-Naraingarh.

'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas' translated into action

Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said the state government had turned Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi's mantra of "Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas" into reality. Under the Prime Minister's leadership for more than 4,400 days, he said, India had emerged among the world's leading powers.

The Chief Minister said the government remained committed to fulfilling every promise made to the people. Of the 217 Sankalps in the Assembly election manifesto, 66 have been fulfilled, while work is underway on the remaining 151.

Welfare measures highlighted

Highlighting welfare initiatives, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said that under the Deendayal Lado Lakshmi Yojana, nearly 10 lakh women had received financial assistance of Rs 1,415 crore, with eligible beneficiaries receiving Rs 2,100 per month. He said the government was also providing LPG cylinders at Rs 500 to poor families, under which 14.42 lakh beneficiaries had received assistance amounting to Rs 282 crore.

MSP procurement and farmers' welfare

The Chief Minister said Haryana was procuring all 24 notified crops at the Minimum Support Price (MSP). So far, Rs 1.80 lakh crore had been transferred directly into the bank accounts of 12 lakh farmers.

He said farmers had received Rs 16,530 crore over the past 11-and-a-half years towards crop loss compensation and under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana, compared to Rs 1,138 crore during the Congress government's tenure. He also said the present government had cleared Rs 269 crore in pending compensation liabilities left by the previous Congress government after assuming office in 2014.

Referring to measures against agricultural fraud, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said the government had enacted a stringent law providing for up to five years' imprisonment for the sale of fake fertilisers, seeds and pesticides. He added that 46 crops had been brought under the Mukhyamantri Bagwani Bima Yojana (MBBY), under which 157 farmers had so far received Rs 1.40 crore in assistance.

Digital governance and social welfare

The Chief Minister said registration of land and property had been made completely paperless and digital across the state. He also said the annual creamy layer income ceiling for the Backward Classes had been enhanced from Rs 6 lakh to Rs 8 lakh, while reservation had also been extended to the Backward Class-B category.

Referring to housing schemes, he said 1.56 lakh houses had been provided under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. Under the Mukhyamantri Awas Yojana (Urban), 18,470 families had been allotted houses, while 12,031 plots had been allotted under the rural housing scheme.

He further said free dialysis services for kidney patients were now available in all government hospitals. Following the establishment of day-care cancer centres in 17 districts, cancer treatment facilities had now been extended to all 22 districts of Haryana.

Merit-Based Recruitment ensured

Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said the state government had provided 1.83 lakh government jobs over the past 11-and-a-half years on merit basis. He said the police recruitment process was currently underway and the results for 4,000 posts had already been declared. Recruitment would also be undertaken in several other government departments in the coming days.

Water conservation and natural farming

Referring to the recent inauguration of 350 Atal Libraries by Union Home Minister, Sh. Amit Shah, the Chief Minister said the dedication of Amrit Sarovars would strengthen water conservation efforts, especially in areas where groundwater levels had declined. He urged farmers to adopt natural farming and outlined the subsidies and incentives being provided by the state government to promote the practice.

Health Minister express gratitude to  PM and CM

Addressing the gathering, Health Minister, Ms.  Arti Singh Rao said the Haryana Government was continuously working to improve public healthcare infrastructure and ensure better medical facilities for citizens. She said the government's objective was not only to expand healthcare facilities but also to strengthen preventive healthcare through early diagnosis. 

Mental health services had now been extended to the block level, while emergency medical services had also been significantly strengthened. She expressed gratitude to  Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi and Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini for their visionary leadership in strengthening healthcare services across Haryana.

ALS ambulances to be linked with Dial 112

Additional Chief Secretary Health,  Dr Sumita Misra said the state government was continuously strengthening healthcare services. She said the bed capacity at Naraingarh hospital had been enhanced and the Chief Minister had inaugurated seven major healthcare projects on Wednesday.

She said counsellors would now provide rotational mental health counselling services in educational institutions. Equipment and machinery worth about Rs 20 crore, procured through CSR funding, had also been dedicated to the people of Haryana.

Dr. Sumita Misra said the newly dedicated Advanced Life Support ambulances would be deployed across different districts and integrated with the Dial 112 emergency response system.

Naraingarh MLA thanks CM for IMT project

Naraingarh MLA, Smt. Shalley Chaudhary  expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister for strengthening healthcare facilities in the constituency and expressed special gratitude for the sanction of the Industrial Model Township (IMT) for Narayangarh. She said the Chief Minister was working tirelessly to ensure that government services reached people's doorsteps.

BJP leader, Smt.  Banto Kataria also addressed the gathering. Former MLA, Sh. Pawan Saini, former minister, Sh.  Santosh Sarwan and other public representatives also remained present during the programme.
