Actress Mahima Makwana, who will be seen essaying the role of Preeti in the forthcoming drama 'Musafir Cafe,' revealed that Mussoorie helped her connect deeply with her role even before the shoot began. Mahima said that she has always believed herself to be a mountain girl, and she ended up enjoying every bit of Mussoorie, from the momos to the tiramisu and the parathas.

Looking back on her time in Mussoorie, Mahima said, “Mussoorie is nothing less than magic. It made me feel like I belonged the moment I stepped in. I’ve always felt that I’m a mountain girl! From having momos, to chai, to tiramisu and parathas, Mussoorie was a beauty.”

She further disclosed that she reached Mussoorie a couple of days before the shoot was scheduled to start, and as she was simply strolling around, exploring the beauty of the place, she ended up finding Preeti. “I took my backpack, put on my earphones, and strolled around.

I went to the most touristy spots, walked around, got lost in the beauty of the place, and actually found Preeti,” Mahima went on to add. Applauding the writers of 'Musafir Cafe', she said that they are the ones who make the project so special. Mahima shared, “The writing, the soul of the show, makes it so, so special.

All three characters are written exceptionally beautifully. I had a wonderful time working with TTT, Vikrant, and my director, Ruchir Arun." She concluded saying that 'Musafir Cafe' made her fall in love with herself. Created and written by Sharanya Rajgopal, 'Musafir Cafe' has been directed by Ruchir Arun.

It is a cinematic adaptation of the beloved novel by Divya Prakash Dubey. Talking about the cast, it also features Vikrant Massey, Vedika Pinto,  Adil Hussain, Rajeev Siddhartha, Anubha Fatehpuria, Loveleen Mishra, and Sadia Siddiqui in key roles, along with others. Backed by Terribly Tiny Tales (TTT), along with Homemade Stories, 'Musafir Cafe' is expected to premiere on July 24 on Netflix.
