Bharatiya Janata Party Punjab State General Secretary Anil Sarin completely rejected Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s press conference today, stating that the people of Punjab no longer have even the slightest faith in any of his statements. Anil Sarin said that not only Punjabis, but no Indian could have imagined that a Chief Minister would keep inventing a new lie and a new excuse every few days to hide the truth.

First, the video was termed AI-generated, then it was described as a deepfake, and now, after eight months, a “mask theory” has been introduced. How can Punjab trust a Chief Minister who changes his statement every fourth day?

He said the biggest question is this—were the forensic reports, cited just two days ago by ministers and spokespersons of the Mann government to declare the video fake, true, or is today’s mask story the truth? Sareen said serious questions had already been raised about the alleged forensic reports procured from Gurugram.

Allegations suggest that Punjab Police officials paid money to get fake reports prepared. If a Chief Minister can misuse power to present fabricated reports, who will believe his “mask theory”?

He further asked that if Bhagwant Mann was so certain the video was fake, why was it not examined by an accredited independent forensic laboratory for eight months? Why the fear of the truth?

Anil Sarin said Bhagwant Mann should take moral responsibility and resign immediately. He has no moral right to continue in the office of Chief Minister even for a single minute.
