Former Union Minister and senior BJP leader Vijay Sampla stated that the FIR registered in Gurugram and the subsequent arrests in connection with the alleged fake forensic report concerning Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s video have raised serious questions over several claims made by the Punjab Government and its representatives.
The revelation of an alleged conspiracy involving the use of money and influence to fabricate forensic reports in an attempt to discredit the Hukamnama issued by Sri Akal Takht Sahib is a matter of grave concern. Sampla said that if the allegations under investigation are proven true, it would constitute not only a fraud upon the law and the investigative process, but also a deliberate and calculated attempt to undermine the dignity, sanctity, and supremacy of Sri Akal Takht Sahib—the highest temporal authority of the Sikh community.
He emphasized that Sri Akal Takht Sahib is the supreme and eternal institution of the Sikh Panth, and the Hukamnamas issued from there are sacred, authoritative, and binding upon the entire Sikh community. No individual, regardless of position or power, can place himself above the maryada and authority of Sri Akal Takht Sahib.
Vijay Sampla further said that by disregarding the directives of the Singh Sahibs and challenging the supremacy of Sri Akal Takht Sahib, Bhagwant Mann has committed the gravest political mistake of his career. Sikh history stands witness that those who, driven by arrogance, attempted to confront Sri Akal Takht Sahib earned neither respect within the Panth nor forgiveness in history.
He added that the saying, “Vinash Kale Vipreet Buddhi” (when destruction approaches, wisdom turns perverse), aptly reflects the current developments. Politics driven by the arrogance of power—one that challenges Panthic sentiments, religious sanctity, and democratic institutions—is destined to collapse. Anti-Panth and anti-Punjab ideology can never command the trust of the people.
Sampla said that the people of Punjab and the entire Sikh Sangat deserve to know what circumstances led to such serious allegations of attempts to influence forensic reports in a religious and Panthic matter. Bringing the truth to light, he said, is imperative. He appealed to Haryana Police to conduct a fair, transparent, and uncompromising investigation, free from any political pressure, and to place all facts before the public.
He further demanded strict legal action against every individual found guilty. In conclusion, Vijay Sampla said that Bhagwant Mann must acknowledge his mistake, immediately resign from the post of Chief Minister, and seek forgiveness from the Sikh community by humbly bowing before Sri Akal Takht Sahib.
He said that honour and respect within the Sikh Panth are earned not through political power, but through humility and adherence to the sacred maryada of Guru Ghar.
