Significant irrigation infrastructure projects have been approved in Bhiwani district, particularly in the Tosham constituency, through the efforts of Haryana Irrigation and Women and Child Development Minister, Smt. Shruti Choudhry.
The projects, which include the renovation and modernisation of several minor distributaries, bridges, and pipeline networks, are expected to provide substantial benefits to farmers and strengthen water management across the region.
A total expenditure of approximately Rs. 33.78 crore has been earmarked for these works, aimed at improving irrigation facilities, enhancing water availability, and ensuring efficient distribution of water to agricultural fields.Smt. Shruti Choudhry said that the state government remains committed to safeguarding farmers’ interests and continuously strengthening the irrigation system.
These projects would improve water accessibility, enhance irrigation efficiency, and directly benefit farmers across the region.According to the Irrigation Department, a total of Rs. 33.78 crore will be spent on various development works, benefiting numerous villages in Bhiwani district.
Sharing information in this regard, representative of the Irrigation Minister and senior BJP leader, Advocate, Sh. Hari Singh Sangwan said that remodeling works will be undertaken on the Alampur Minor, Thilod Distributary, Dadam Distributary, Dadam Hill Minor, and Jhanwari Distributary.
Besides this, bridges will be constructed on the Nigana Canal and Nigana Feeder, lining work will be carried out on the Hetampura Minor, an underground RCC pipeline will be laid up to the Situwala Pond in Pataudi Kalan, and the Sisar Minor will be renovated.
