Arrangements for Conduct of NEET-UG 2026 in Chandigarh

Ahead of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) 2026, Sh. Nishant Kumar Yadav, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Chandigarh, today briefed on the comprehensive preparations put in place by the administration for the smooth, fair, and transparent conduct of the examination.

The NEET-UG 2026, conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), is scheduled to be held on 21st June, 2026. In Chandigarh, approximately 3,800 candidates are registered to appear in this prestigious national entrance examination for undergraduate medical and dental courses.

Examination Centres

■ A total of 7 (seven) examination centres have been designated in schools across Chandigarh for the conduct of NEET-UG 2026.

Security of Secret/Confidential Material

■ The transportation of secret/confidential examination material from the designated bank(s) to all examination centres will be carried out under strict security escort of Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) along with the respective Centre Superintendent, ensuring complete integrity and safety of the question papers at every stage.

Anti-Cheating & Surveillance Measures

■ Electronic jammers have been installed at all examination centres to prevent the use of any electronic/mobile devices or unfair means during the examination.

■ Double-layer frisking of all candidates will be conducted at the entry point to prevent use of any prohibited items:

(i) First Level — by the Local Police.

(ii) Second Level — by a professional agency specifically hired by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for this purpose.

Candidate Amenities

■ All basic amenities, including drinking water, seating arrangements, adequate lighting, ventilation, and sanitation facilities, are being made available at all examination centres for the convenience and comfort of candidates.

Magisterial Oversight

■ Duty Magistrates have been appointed at each examination centre to monitor the entire examination process, ensure maintenance of order, and address any exigency that may arise during the examination.

■ All candidates are advised to carry their Admit Card and a valid Government-issued Photo ID on the day of examination. Candidates are requested to report at their respective centres at least one hour before the commencement of the examination. The District Administration appeals for the full cooperation of candidates, their guardians, and the general public for the smooth conduct of NEET-UG 2026.
