Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Mohammad Alyas Khan, today chaired the District Level Review Committee (DLRC) and District Level RSETI Advisory Committee (DLRAC) meetings to review the performance of banks and assess the implementation of various financial inclusion, credit-linked and social security schemes in the district, with special focus on the priority sector.

The Deputy Commissioner directed all bankers to treat the implementation of social security schemes as a mission and ensure that the benefits of these schemes reach every eligible citizen of the district. The meeting was attended by ACR Shokat Hayat Mattoo, CPO Dr Shakeeb Ahmed Rather, ACD Sheraz Ahmed, RBI Lead District Officer Gaganpreet Kaur, Lead District Manager Davinder Singh, Director RSETI S. Harvinder Singh, senior officers of the District Administration and representatives of various banks.

It was informed during the meeting that the district's Credit-Deposit (CD) Ratio stood at 68.07% as on March 31, 2026. Under the priority sector, banks disbursed credit amounting to ₹549.55 crore, achieving 93% of the Annual Credit Plan (ACP) target of ₹588.91 crore for 2025-26.

The non-priority sector recorded a credit outlay of ₹507.27 crore. Reviewing sector-wise performance, the Deputy Commissioner directed bankers to achieve the prescribed targets under priority sectors, particularly education, housing and social infrastructure.

He instructed banks to work in close coordination with line departments for effective implementation of government schemes and improved service delivery. The Deputy Commissioner also directed banks to organise awareness camps in uncovered and remote areas to educate the public about social security schemes, financial inclusion initiatives and self-employment and youth-oriented programmes.

Calling for expeditious processing of loan cases under the PM Vishwakarma and Kisan Credit Card (KCC) schemes, the Deputy Commissioner stressed the importance of ensuring timely financial assistance to beneficiaries. He further directed bankers and departments to intensify efforts for achieving targets under PMEGP, Mission YUVA and other employment-oriented schemes.

The Deputy Commissioner also emphasised greater coverage under Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana (PMMY), Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY), Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY) and Atal Pension Yojana (APY). He instructed all stakeholders to adopt a result-oriented approach to achieve optimal performance under all government-sponsored schemes, particularly those focused on entrepreneurship and youth employment.

Chairing the DLRAC meeting, the Deputy Commissioner reviewed the performance and functioning of RSETI Ramban. He emphasised the need to provide market-relevant skill training, increase the number of trained beneficiaries and ensure proper credit, marketing and handholding support for self-employment ventures.

Director RSETI presented an overview of the institute's achievements, ongoing initiatives and training programmes being conducted for unemployed youth. RSETI Ramban also set up a stall showcasing products prepared by trainees during various skill development programmes, which drew the attention of participants and officers present.
