Industry leaders, government officials, and stakeholders gathered today at Hotel Shivalik View for a high-level seminar on "Scaling India’s Pharmaceuticals, Pharma Machinery and Equipment Exports through Quality Innovations and Compliances." The event served as a critical precursor to the 2nd edition of the Pharma MachTech & LabNext Expo 2026, slated to be held from Sep 7-9, at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.

The seminar opened with insightful and important discourse on India’s transition from a high-volume generic producer to a high-value global innovation hub. With the sector projected to reach a USD 50 billion valuation by 2030, the national vision—anchored in the Viksit Bharat @2047 roadmap—focuses on establishing India as a "Pharma Powerhouse." 

This mission emphasizes self-reliance (Atmanirbhar Bharat) in complex bioprocessing equipment and high-end laboratory instruments, moving beyond traditional manufacturing to embrace Pharma 4.0 technologies like AI-driven automation and continuous manufacturing. The seminar addressed Regulatory Roadmaps and Export Facilitation initiatives by the Government of India. 

Shri Yash Garg, IAS, Director General, Commissionerate, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises in his keynote address enlightened the gathering about the various initiatives undertaken by the Government of Haryana and advocated the potential of the State of Haryana as viable destination for Pharma Machinery and Laboratory equipment manufacturing and exports. 

Shri Utpal Kumar Acharya, Joint DGFT (RA Ludhiana), elaborated on the government's regulatory roadmap aimed to streamline the export and catalyze innovation led quality manufacturing in the country. The seminar featured a detailed presentation by EEPC India on the upcoming Pharma MachTech & LabNext Expo 2026. 

The Brochure for the Pharma MachTech & LabNext Expo 2026 was officially released. Industry representatives expressed significant interest in the Expo and they looked forward to participate and explore several areas such as latest Quality manufacturing solutions and emerging innovations to that meets global regulatory compliances, and growing focus on energy-efficient solutions that meet global standards; advancements in diagnostic and analytical instruments and evolving R&D needs of the biopharma sector.

Opportunities through Reverse Buyer-Seller Meetings (RBSM) which will be hosted to enable manufacturers connect directly with hosted buyers from high-growth markets like the USA, European, West Asia and African regions. Other key speakers at the session included Shri Arun Shukla (EEPC India), Dr. Pradeep Mattu (Former Joint Commissioner Drugs), Dr. Govind Shankar Pandey, CEO & MD, Gamp Technologies Pvt Ltd and Shri. J. Imam, Sr. Vice President-Works, Aristo Pharmaceuticals Pvt. Ltd. 

The message from speakers elicited the collective voice for enhancing synergy between government regulatory support and industry innovation will be the engine driving India’s engineering exports to the $1 trillion mark by 2047. The seminar was organized by EEPC India, the premier trade and investment promotion organization in the engineering sector, supported by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India.
