Deputy Commissioner Rahul Chaba and Senior Superintendent of Police Sartaj Singh Chahal on Wednesday reaffirmed the district administration’s firm commitment to providing a conducive, secure and industry-friendly environment in Sangrur district, assuring that all genuine issues faced by industrial units would be addressed on a priority basis.

The assurance was given during a meeting with representatives of Industrial Associations held at the SDM Office, Dhuri. SDM Dhuri Rishabh Bansal was also present on the occasion. Addressing the gathering, Deputy Commissioner Rahul Chaba highlighted that the Punjab Government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, has introduced a Single Window Clearance system to promote industrial growth.

Through this mechanism, all necessary approvals required by industries can be obtained from a single platform. He informed that approvals which earlier took several months are now being granted within a stipulated period of 45 days.

The Deputy Commissioner further stated that the district administration is holding regular interactions with industrial stakeholders to resolve their concerns expeditiously. Emphasising the Punjab Government’s focus on industrial development, he said that the administration is making continuous efforts to facilitate industries and create new employment opportunities for the youth.

He added that industrial growth not only strengthens the local economy but also contributes significantly to employment generation. SSP Sartaj Singh Chahal said that the police administration has further strengthened law and order arrangements in industrial areas.

He informed that continuous patrolling, prompt police response and a strengthened grievance redressal mechanism have been put in place to ensure the safety and security of industrial units and to prevent any untoward incidents. During the meeting, SDM Dhuri Rishabh Bansal assured the representatives that issues at the sub-division level would be addressed promptly and effectively.

Representatives of the Industrial Associations raised issues related to electricity, water supply, roads, security, transport, labour and other administrative matters. Deputy Commissioner Rahul Chaba carefully noted all concerns and directed the concerned departments to ensure time-bound resolution of the issues faced by industrial units.

On the occasion, representatives of the Sangrur District Industrial Chamber (Block Dhuri) and the Sangrur Chamber of Commerce expressed their appreciation to the district administration for addressing their concerns with seriousness and assured continued cooperation and coordination in the future.

Among those present were President of Sangrur Chamber of Commerce Darshan Singh, Secretary Amrit Garg, Finance Secretary Sunil Kumal, Chairman of Sangrur District Industrial Chamber Block Dhuri Gurbakhsh Singh Guddu, President Mukesh Kumar Singla, Secretary Amit Goyal, Vice President Rajesh Singla, along with officers from various departments.
