Reaffirming the Punjab Government's commitment to creating a business-friendly environment, Deputy Commissioner Poonamdeep Kaur today chaired a meeting with representatives of the Punjab State Traders Commission and senior district officials to review issues concerning the trading community and to evolve an effective mechanism for their timely resolution. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Dr. Ravjot Grewal also attended the meeting.
During the deliberations, a wide range of issues faced by traders were discussed in detail, and a comprehensive action plan was formulated to ensure their prompt and effective redressal. Addressing the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner said that the Punjab Government is dedicated to providing traders with a transparent, responsive and conducive business environment.
She emphasized that the district administration will ensure the time-bound disposal of every genuine grievance and that no issue will be allowed to remain pending without justified reasons. To strengthen coordination between the administration and the trading community, she announced that all Sub-Divisional Magistrates (SDMs) in the district will hold regular meetings with the Chairpersons and members of the Punjab State Traders Commission.
These meetings will facilitate the resolution of traders' issues at the sub-divisional level itself, ensuring quicker and more effective grievance redressal. Speaking on the occasion, Punjab State Traders Commission Chairman Arun Jindal said that the Commission is working as a vital link between the Government and the trading community.
He urged traders to remain in regular touch with the Commission and share their grievances and suggestions so that their concerns can be effectively taken up with the Government and resolved expeditiously. He reiterated the Commission's commitment to safeguarding the interests of traders and promoting their welfare.
