Karamjit Singh Rintu, Chairman of the Amritsar Improvement Trust and Aam Aadmi Party in-charge of the North Assembly constituency, today inaugurated development works for the construction of streets in Sandhu Colony, Vishal Vihar, and Prakash Vihar in wards number 13 and 17. He said that the sewerage system in these streets had been repaired earlier, and now the streets are being renovated.
He said that all basic amenities are being provided to the people of the North Assembly constituency. He said that he is meeting with people daily, listening to their problems, and finding solutions. He added that the work of constructing roads with pre-mix will also be started in March.
Karamjit Singh Rintu said that the Aam Aadmi Party government in Punjab is providing all kinds of facilities to the people. He said that under the Chief Minister's Health Insurance Scheme, he himself is reaching out to people and issuing slips for obtaining insurance cards under this scheme.
He said that the Chief Minister's Health Insurance Scheme campaign has been launched in the North Assembly constituency, and health insurance scheme cards have also started being issued in Amritsar district, under which every citizen of Punjab is to be given a health insurance card. This will provide an insurance cover of Rs. 10 lakh.
Karamjit Singh Rintu said that health insurance scheme cards will also be issued at the 41 service centers operating in Amritsar district under the Health Insurance Scheme, and these cards will also be available at 486 Common Service Centers. He said that with the launch of this scheme, every family in the state will get free treatment worth Rs. 10 lakh.
He said that with the implementation of this scheme, even the most expensive hospitals, which were previously only accessible to the wealthy, have now become accessible to the poor. Rintu said that the sanitation system is also being improved in the North Assembly constituency.
He said that the number of door-to-door waste collection vehicles is also being increased. In addition, scan codes have been placed in front of every house so that residents can easily track whether their household waste is being collected.
