The Trident Group and PGTI jointly announce the inaugural 'Trident Open' golf tournament

The first edition begins on November 11th, with golfers playing in the Pro-Am event on November 9th

The 'Trident Open' tee-off was marked by a brilliant shot from Rajya Sabha MP and prominent businessman Mr. Rajinder Gupta. The event is jointly organized by the Trident Group and the Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI). The first round of the 'Trident Open' will be played on November 11th, and the winner of the first edition will receive the prize on November 14th. 

The prize money for this prestigious tournament is ₹1 crore.The tournament, organized in collaboration with title sponsor Trident Group, will feature a total of 126 golfers (123 professionals and 3 amateurs). Prominent Indian players include PGTI ranking leader Yuvraj Sandhu, Arjun Prasad, Shaurya Bhattacharya, Angad Cheema, Om Prakash Chauhan, and Manu Gandas. Yuvraj and Arjun Cheema are Chandigarh residents. 

They praised the efforts of Mr. Rajinder Gupta. They said that they hadn't played on their home course for a long time, and thanked him for bringing them back home. It was due to his efforts that a major golf event returned to the city.In addition to the two, several players from the Tricity, including Jairaj Singh Sandhu, Akshay Sharma, Abhijeet Singh Chadha, Brijesh Kumar, Ronil Kukar, and Umed Kumar (PGTI NextGen Order of Merit Champion), will showcase their skills. 

Foreign players will include N. Thangarajan and K. Prabhakaran from Sri Lanka, Jamal Hussain and Mohammad Siddikur Rahman from Bangladesh, as well as players from the United States, Nepal, Italy, and Uganda.21-year-old Shubham Jaglan will also be playing in this prestigious event organized by the Trident Group. This will mark his PGTI debut. He was previously India's junior No. 1 and is currently playing college golf in the United States.
