A wonderful blend of Haryana’s rich culture, tradition, and technological advancement is currently on display at the World Expo–2025 being held in Osaka, Japan. The Haryana Pavilion, set up within the Bharat Mandapam, has become not only a symbol of pride for the Indian diaspora but also a major attraction for visitors from Japan and other countries around the world.

A high-level delegation, led by Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini, who is on an official visit to Japan with the objective of promoting global industrial activities in Haryana, visited the Haryana Pavilion at the World Expo–2025 on Tuesday.

At the outset, the Chief Minister inaugurated the Haryana Pavilion. Upon arrival at the pavilion, artists dressed in traditional Haryanvi attire and playing folk instruments welcomed and greeted the Chief Minister and other dignitaries.

The delegation included Haryana’s Minister of Industries and Commerce Sh. Rao Narbir Singh, Chief Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Sh. Rajesh Khullar, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Sh. Arun Kumar Gupta, Commissioner and Secretary of the Department of Foreign Cooperation Smt. Amneet P. Kumar, Commissioner and Secretary of the Department of Industries and Commerce Dr. Amit Kumar Agrawal, Managing Director of HSIIDC Dr. Yash Garg, and other senior officials.

*Haryana–Japan connect through Virtual Reality*

The pavilion showcases Haryana’s rural culture, historical heritage, industrial progress, and modern developmental journey through VR (Virtual Reality) technology. With the help of this technology, Japanese visitors are virtually experiencing Haryana’s historical and archaeological sites, gaining an immersive glimpse into the grandeur and diversity of the state’s rich land.

Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini wrote in the visitor’s book that he felt proud to see India’s progress and potential being presented so beautifully at Bharat Mandapam. He remarked that this exhibition truly reflects the spirit of ‘Viksit Bharat’ and our journey toward a sustainable and innovative future. Haryana is fully committed to contributing to this national vision, he said.

*Foreign visitors enjoy photo sessions wearing traditional Haryanvi attire*

The display of Haryana’s traditional costumes, handicrafts, folk dances, clay artworks, and traditional music at the pavilion has left a deep impression on Japanese audiences. Local visitors wore traditional Haryanvi outfits for photo sessions and danced joyfully to folk performances like Ghoomar and Phag, immersing themselves in the vibrant spirit of Haryanvi culture.

Visitors to the Haryana Pavilion are also experiencing the state’s ethos of ‘Atithi Devo Bhava’ (Guests are like God). Japanese visitors remarked that the warmth and affection reflected in Haryana’s culture represent the true soul of India.

At the World Expo–2025, the Haryana Pavilion has emerged as a powerful symbol of Indian culture, technological progress, and the message of self-reliance. It beautifully embodies Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi’s vision of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ (The World is One Family) and Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini’s vision of a ‘Viksit Haryana’.
