Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) Chairman, Himmat Singh, said that a petition was recently filed in the Hon'ble Punjab and Haryana High Court by certain candidates challenging the normalization process. The Hon'ble High Court dismissed the petition on Tuesday, reaffirming that the normalization process adopted by the Commission is completely transparent, valid, and fair.
Himmat Singh said that this decision is significant for all candidates who appeared in the CET examination. He emphasized that the Commission's primary objective has always been to ensure fairness and equal opportunity for every candidate. The normalization process has been implemented based on a scientific and logical approach to ensure that all candidates are evaluated on a uniform scale.
He further said that the Commission has observed that some candidates were misled by incorrect information regarding the matter, leading them to unnecessarily invest time and money in legal proceedings. This is an unfortunate situation. The Commission urges all candidates to avoid being influenced by misleading information and to rely solely on the official website and notifications issued by the Commission.
It is worth noting that the Common Eligibility Test (CET) was successfully conducted on July 26 and 27. Admit cards were issued to over 13.48 lakh candidates across both days, reflecting the enthusiasm and confidence of the youth towards this examination. The exam was conducted in a completely transparent, fair, and well-organized manner.
