Deputy Commissioner Ramban Mohammad Alyas Khan, along with Senior Superintendent of Police Arun Gupta and ADC Varunjeet Singh Charak, today visited Sarbagni area of Sub-Division Ramsoo to assess the situation arising due to the massive landslide that occurred yesterday.

During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner took stock of the affected area and directed the concerned officers to take all precautionary and safety measures to prevent any untoward incident. The DC and SSP also interacted with the evacuated families presently accommodated at the temporary lodgement centre established at Government High School, Ramsoo.

He assured the affected people that the District Administration is taking all necessary measures to ensure their safety and providing them adequate boarding, lodging, and other essential facilities.

It is pertinent to mention that, following the landslide in Sarbagni yesterday, the District Administration promptly shifted 93 members of 30 families to safer locations and arranged all necessary facilities for them at the lodgement centre.

The Deputy Commissioner further directed SDM Ramsoo Mazahir Kazmi and the Chief Medical Officer to ensure quality healthcare and other essential services for the evacuated families.
