Continuing its strict action against criminal elements, the police team of PS Division No. 7, Commissionerate Jalandhar, has successfully identified three accused and arrested one of them, who was involved in the firing incident in front of the More Super Market Store, Urban Estate Phase-2, Jalandhar. Sharing the details, CP Jalandhar Smt. Dhanpreet Kaur said that FIR No. 113 dated 19.08.2025, u/s 109, 3(5) BNS and 25/27/54/59 Arms Act, added later 118(1)(2) BNS was registered at Police Station Division No. 7 Jalandhar on the statement of Dr. Rahul Sood, r/o Jalandhar Heights-2, Jalandhar, who is a doctor at Kidney Hospital Jalandhar. 

The victim reported that on 19.08.2025, three unidentified persons attempted to attack him by opening fire outside the More Super Market store. Taking immediate action on this incident, CP Jalandhar constituted a team under the direct supervision of Sh. Manpreet Singh Dhillon (DCP Investigation), Sh. Jayant Puri (ADCP Investigation), Sh. Harinder Singh Gill (ADCP CITY-2), Sh. Paramjit Singh (ADCP), and Smt. Roopdeep Kaur (ACP Model Town) and the team led by Incharge CIA staff Sh. Surinder Kumar and SHO Sh. Baljinder Singh. During the investigation, with the help of CCTV cameras, technical assistance, and other resources, three individuals involved in the incident were identified.

Among them, one accused, Satya Narayan, son of Choti Ram, presently residing at H.No. 236, Ram Singh da vehda, Industry Area, PS Division No. 8, Jalandhar was arrested by the police team on 24.08.2025 from Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, and produced before the Hon’ble Court, Jalandhar. She informed that the accused has been remanded for 7 days so that he can be interrogated thoroughly and the remaining accused can be arrested soon.

CP Jalandhar reiterated that any kind of unlawful activity will not be tolerated. Strict legal action will be taken against anyone attempting to disturb law & order in the city.
