The Chandigarh State AIDS Control Society today inaugurated a two-day Regional Capacity Building Workshop on data analysis and scientific writing based on NACP data, under the aegis of the National AIDS Control Organization (NACO), Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India. Notably, this is the first-ever paperless workshop of its kind held in Chandigarh, promoting the use of digital technology in the health sector, under the guidance of the Secretary Health, UT Chandigarh.

The Project Director, Chandigarh State AIDS Control Society, highlighted that the event was conducted entirely paperless in alignment with the government’s vision of digital health transformation. The workshop witnessed participation from Senior NACO officials and technical experts from national and international organizations, including CDC India, UNAIDS, and ITECH India. Delegates from neighbouring States and UTs such as Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Delhi, and Ladakh also took part.
