MLA Yudhvir Sethi dedicates power transformer in Ward 8

Senior BJP leader and MLA Jammu East, Yudhvir Sethi along with Avneet Executive Engineer, PWD, today dedicated a new power transformer to the residents of Ward No. 8 aiming to ensure improved and uninterrupted power supply for residents of the area. 

The installation of the transformer is expected to address long-standing voltage and electricity issues faced by locals. Speaking on the occasion, Yudhvir Sethi reaffirmed BJP’s unwavering commitment to providing better civic amenities and strengthening infrastructure at the grassroots level. 

“Empowering citizens through efficient services remains a core priority of the BJP under the leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji,” he said. Later, the MLA attended a special AYUSH and Yoga awareness session organized by the Department of AYUSH at Rehari, in connection with the upcoming International Yoga Day 2025. 

As the Chief Guest, Yudhvir Sethi encouraged people to embrace yoga as a holistic path to physical and mental well-being. “Yoga is India’s gift to the world and has become a global health movement,” he remarked, while appreciating the efforts of the AYUSH department in spreading awareness at the grassroots level.

In continuation of the World Environment Day celebrations, Yudhvir Sethi also participated in a plantation drive under the ongoing nationwide campaign ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ at Ward 1 and Ward 8 of the East Constituency.

The initiative, launched by Prime Minister Modi ji, encourages citizens to plant a tree in honor of their mothers as a tribute to Mother Earth. He urged people, especially the youth, to actively take part in environmental conservation and sustainable practices to secure a greener future.

Among those who were present included Avneet Executive Engineer PWD, Raman, Spokesman Jammu District, Swati Sharma Mandal President Amphalla, Suresh Sargotra, Dr Akshay Ex Corporator, Rohit Gupta, Chawla ji and others.
