Focuses on Saras, Sanchar Saathi and Saral Sanchar App

Office of Controller of Communication Accounts, Punjab Telecom Circle, Chandigarh, the Nodal office of the Ministry of Communications, Department of Telecommunications (DOT), New Delhi organized "Awareness Program on Sanchar Saathi App" and "Telecom Outreach Program" on 16.04.2025 in Jalandhar at "Office of Wireless Monitoring Station, Jalandhar-Hoshiarpur Road National Highway 70 Jalandhar, Punjab".

The Seminar started with lighting of lamp by Sh. Akshay Gupta, Dy. Controller O/ o Controller of Communication Accounts, Punjab Circle. The Seminar was attended by Senior officers from Office of CCA Punjab Chandigarh, and Wireless Monitoring Station, Jalandhar.

In the inaugural address Sh. Akshay Gupta mentioned that the Office of Controller of Communication has organized this Seminar as an "Awareness Program on Sanchar Saathi App" and "Telecom Outreach Program" with an aim to make aware and empower the mobile subscribers for enhancing their digital security and to increase awareness about the Government's initiatives in this regard to safety and security against the Cyber Frauds and counter these threats. 

A special Session was held to focused on Cybersecurity, addressing the latest Cyber Threats and vulnerabilities in the Telecom Sector and stakeholders were made aware of various portals of Department of Telecommunications such as SARAS, Sanchar Saathi, SARAL SANCHAR etc.

The invitees were mainly the stake holders of the DoT i.e. Telecom Service Providers, Internet Service Providers, Virtual Network Operators and Pensioners and family Pensioners of the department in the State of Punjab. To facilitate the Pensioners and family Pensioners of the department, a Camp is also being organized to update Life Certificates.

During the Seminar, emphasis was given mainly to educate and make aware the stakeholders i.e. Telecom Service Providers, Internet Service Providers, Virtual Network Operators Leaders of Pensioners and Pensioners and Family Pensioners in the State of Punjab about the various web portals i.e. Sanchar Sathi & Cyber Security of Department of Telecommunications. An interactive Session was also held to make the Seminar more accessible and fruitful for the Stakeholders.

Simultaneously, the office of CCA Punjab Chandigarh also organized Life Certificate Updation Camp to facilitate Departments' Pensioners and family pensioners during the "Awareness Program on Sanchar Saathi App" and "Telecom Outreach Program".
