Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Sonawari Constituency, Advocate Hilal Akbar Lone today visited Hajin area to take stock of the situation following the collapse of a road due to cracks that developed near Sheikh Mohalla. The MLA met local residents to take first hand appraisal of their concerns and assured them of prompt action.

During his visit, Lone assured the public that, once the weather conditions improve, work on the road project will resume on a war footing basis.Meanwhile, temporary measures are being implemented to prevent further deterioration of the road.

MLA emphasized that the authorities are fully aware of the issue, and efforts are underway to provide relief to those affected.He said the matter has been taken up with the concerned authorities, and assured the people that rehabilitation efforts will be carried out wherever possible.

In addition to inspecting the situation in Hajin, MLA also visited Receiving Station Nadihal, Gujjarpati Aragam, Chanpal, Chapran and other adjacent areas to take stock of the situation amid incessant rains.
