Deputy Commissioner Dr. Himanshu Aggarwal today directed various government departments to ensure the effective implementation of welfare schemes for ex-servicemen and their families. Chairing a meeting of the District Sainik Board, he emphasized that the benefits of state government schemes must reach deserving veterans without delay.

Dr. Aggarwal instructed officials to give due respect to ex-servicemen, their families, and serving army personnel during their visits to government offices. "These bravehearts have dedicated their lives to securing our borders and protecting the nation.

We can never repay their debt, but we must prioritize their needs and ensure they receive dignified treatment," he stated. The Deputy Commissioner also reviewed various welfare initiatives designed to support ex-servicemen.

He urged departments to address any gaps in implementation and provide seamless access to benefits. The meeting was attended by District Sainik Welfare Officer Commander Baljinder Singh Virk, along with SDMs Shubhi Aangra, Lal Bishwash Bains, Randeep Heer, and officials from different departments.

The Deputy Commissioner reaffirmed Jalandhar Administration's commitment to honoring the sacrifices of veterans and pledged to streamline welfare services for them and their families.
