While addressing the media persons here at her office Senior Superintendent of Police, Fatehgarh Sahib, Dr. Ravjot Grewal, IPS, stated that under the directives of the Punjab Government and DGP Gaurav Yadav, IPS, a crackdown on gangsters and criminals has been intensified.  Under the supervision of Rakesh Yadav, PPS, SP (Investigation) Fatehgarh Sahib, and Nikhil Garg, PPS, DSP (Investigation) Fatehgarh Sahib, a team led by Inspector Amarbir Singh, in charge of CIA Sirhind, successfully arrested two members of gangster Arsh Dalla's gang from Sirhind and recovered five country-made 32 bore pistols along with five live rounds. 

One Activa and 02 mobile phones have also been recovered. The SSP disclosed that on February 11, 2025, the CIA team apprehended Sahil and Gurkirat Singh from Sirhind. An FIR No. 12, dated 11.02.25 under Section 25 of the Arms Act, has been registered at Sirhind Police Station.

Gurkirat Singh had recently returned from Malaysia in May 2024 after staying there for a year. Both accused, Gurkirat and Sahil, were working for gangster Arsh Dalla through Tejbir Singh, alias Sabu, an inmate in Patiala Jail. 

Tejbir Singh is imprisoned for murder and illegal arms-related cases. Sahil and Tejbir Singh are residents of the Siripura locality in Amritsar and are close associates.Tejbir Singh, alias Sabu, is an associate of gangster Arsh Dalla. He was involved in a murder case and other major criminal activities in Amritsar. 

The accused were supplying arms to execute criminal activities, but police intervention prevented any major incident. Tejbir Singh has been brought from Patiala Jail for further interrogation, which is expected to reveal crucial information. Currently, all three accused are in police remand.

The forward-backward linkages of the illicit weapon delivery are under investigation, along with the purpose of procurement of such weapons by the accused and the targets assigned by the foreign handler Arsh Dalla, which are thoroughly investigated under the supervision of SP-D, Fatehgarh Sahib. 

This operation is a significant success in curbing the activities of gangsters and preventing violent crimes in Punjab.

Previous Criminal Record of Tejbir Singh :

1. FIR No. 208, dated 18/07/2022, under Section 25 of the Arms Act at Cantonment Police Station, Amritsar.

2. FIR No. 05, dated 04/01/2023, under various sections of IPC (302, 452, 212, 216, 120B, 148, 149) and the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (17, 18, 18B, 19, 20) at Sadar Jagraon Police Station, Ludhiana Rural.
