Basharat Najar, a prominent social and political activist from Bandipur assembly constituency, Tuesday, joined Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in presence of the party Chief Spokesperson, Naeem Akhtar. The senior party leader and MLA Bandipur, Nizamu Din Bhat, was also present on the occasion.According to a statement issued to KNS, Basharat was the Congress party’s youth district president for district Bandipur. Basharat was impressed by the PDP’s policies, leadership and the current political scenario in the state. He said that he will work hard for the PDP’s pro-people agenda. Welcoming him in the party fold Nizamu Din Bhat said Basharat’s joining will surely help the party to build youth cadre in the assembly segment. (KNS)
