Many new initiatives have been implemented by the Fatehgarh Sahib police for the peaceful and smooth conduct of the Shaheedi Sabha this year so that the pilgrims would not face any kind of problem.

This was stated by Arpit Shukla, Special DG, Law and Order, here at Tilla near Gurdwara Sri Fatehgarh Sahib while interacting with media after the meeting with the police officials deployed for Shaheedi Sabha.

Special DG disclosed that a total of 20 parking spaces have been marked. Shuttle bus service between the parking area and Gurdwara Sri Fatehgarh Sahib has been initiated, utilizing a total of 100 buses.

The entire city has been converted into a one-way traffic route. Mr. Shukla said that the arrangement of the area has been divided into five sectors, and a clear VIP route, which also serves as the emergency route, has been delineated.

Extensive use of volunteers from SGPC, Khalsa Aid, NCC, and other volunteer organizations has been made. Drones are being used to monitor traffic and parking arrangements. Six help centers, which include a police desk, an information desk, and medical aid, have been established.

While presiding over the meeting of the police officials deployed at Fatehgarh Sahib, Mr. Shukla told the officials to work with full dedication and determination. He told the officials to adopt the utmost humble approach towards the sangat.

He instructed the officials to set an example of policing while performing the duties during the Shaheedi Sabha. Harcharan Singh Bhullar, DIG Rupnagar Range, and Dr. Ravjot Grewal, SSP, were also present.
