MP Gurjeet Singh Aujla has appealed to the people to definitely use their vote. This is the only way against hooliganism. He also said that if the Aam Aadmi Party indulges in hooliganism, Congress will take to the streets against it.

He also warned the administration to conduct elections without bias and not spoil the atmosphere of Punjab. MP Gurjeet Singh Aujla, while addressing a press conference today, said that he wants to warn the government and the Election Commission that it is their duty to conduct impartial elections.

Their job is to cooperate in the elections and not create obstacles. He said that since yesterday, pressure is being exerted on people at many places and people are being forced not to reach the voters.

MP Aujla said that MLAs and ministers are forcing the administration but he wants to say that the administrative authorities should not do injustice to the people to save their posts. He said that ward number 9 was also pushed where the police took the people who were distributing pamphlets to the police station and the same complaint is coming from many wards.

MP Aujla said that in the assembly and Lok Sabha elections, pamphlets are distributed by BLOs but in corporation elections, workers distribute pamphlets but the AAP government is putting them in jail.

He said that the Aam Aadmi Party puts up advertisements everywhere that they have done a lot of work, when they have done the work then what is the need for them to be afraid. Let the people cast their votes, only then will democracy be respected.

MP Aujla said that the AAP government was not in favor of holding elections earlier. First many years passed and then when elections are being held after the orders of the Supreme Court, the government is adopting every wrong tactic.

First the wards of the people were changed. Today the situation is such that for two days people are searching for their votes and booths and votes from many areas have not been found yet. This is a sheer shock which shows the intentions of the government.

He said that the AAP government always complained about these things in Delhi and now all this is being done in Punjab itself. He said that he wants to warn that he will not let the peace of Punjab be disturbed at any cost.

He wants to tell the government in strong words not to make people fight among themselves and conduct elections peacefully otherwise he will not sit quiet and will be on the streets against the government and administration.
