Haryana's Energy, Transport and Labour Minister Sh. Anil Vij has said that the recent deadly attack on Punjab's former Deputy Chief Minister and Akali leader Sukhbir Badal at the Amritsar Shri Darbar Sahib a "very serious matter."
He also emphasized that India is the land of Hindus, and whenever Hindus face any oppression abroad, the people looks to India with hopeful eyes. Therefore, Hindus must unite and support one another actively.
While answering the questions of media persons today, Sh. Vij noted that Punjab Police is investigating the attack, including the motives of the assailant. He expressed relief that Sukhbir Singh Badal escaped unharmed and added that the attacker has been apprehended and legal action is underway.

Addressing the ongoing oppression against Hindus in Bangladesh, Sh. Vij reiterated that India is the land of Hindus. He stated that whenever Hindus are oppressed in foreign countries, people turn to India for help. He urged Hindus to actively stand united and support each other in such challenging times.
