Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini today attended the state-level Chhath mahotsav as chief guest at Brahmasarovar and Purushottampura Bagh in Kurukshetra. He offered Arghya to the Sun and performed the Maha Aarti and Puja Archana, praying for the prosperity, progress, and well-being of the citizens of Haryana and the country. The rituals were accompanied by the chanting of mantras, marking a deeply spiritual and auspicious occasion.

The state-level Chhath mahotsav also saw cultural performances by renowned folk artists. Padma Shri Malini Awasthi, Kavya Krishna Murthy, and other performers captivated the audience with their folk music and songs. In recognition of their contributions, the Chief Minister presented mementoes to Padma Shri Malini Awasthi, Kavya Krishna Murthy, and other esteemed artists.

Former Minister of State Sh. Subhash Sudha, Chairman, Chhath Parv Seva Samiti Sh. Santosh Paswan, Chairman of Shri Purvanchal Chhath Parv Mahasabha Rajiv Rai, and Chairman of Shri Gau Geeta Gayatri Sangathan Anil Shastri, also performed the Puja on the holy banks of Brahmasarovar.

In his address to the gathering, the Chief Minister conveyed his warm wishes to the people of Haryana and the nation on the occasion of Chhath utsav. He highlighted the importance of the festival, describing it as one of the most sacred celebrations of Surya worship. He prayed that Chhath Maiya would bless the people with happiness, peace, and prosperity, and that the festival would bring fulfillment of wishes for all devotees.

Thousands of devotees participated in the Arghya offering to Lord Surya during this grand celebration. The administration made adequate arrangements to ensure the smooth conduct of the mahotsav, providing ample facilities for the devotees who gathered in large numbers.
