Deputy Commissioner Dr. Himanshu Aggarwal on Friday conducted a quarterly inspection of the district-level Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) warehouse located at the District Administrative Complex. Accompanied by representatives from various political parties, Dr. Aggarwal assessed the safety and security protocols for the EVMs stored at the facility.
Expressing satisfaction with the security arrangements, Dr. Aggarwal emphasized the importance of safeguarding these machines, which are crucial for the electoral process. He highlighted that the warehouse is designated for the secure storage of reserved EVMs, which will be utilized as needed for upcoming elections as directed by the Election Commission of India. “EVMs are instrumental in our democracy, enabling citizens to exercise their right to vote,” he stated, reaffirming the commitment to maintaining robust security measures during the electoral season.
