Bollywood star Govinda recently made headlines after he was shot in an accident. On October 1, the 60-year-old actor shared his first public statement from the hospital, expressing his gratitude to his fans and the medical team for their support during this tragic time.

How Govinda Got Shot?

This accident happened with Govinda on Tuesday morning. When he was cleaning his licensed revolver. According to reports, he accidentally dropped the gun, due to which the bullet fired and hit his leg. The incident happened around 4:45 pm when he was preparing to leave for Kolkata on a morning flight.

Govinda’s Grateful Message from the Hospital

In an audio message recorded from the hospital bed, Govinda thanked those who were praying for his long life during that difficult time. In that message, Govinda said that the doctors had successfully removed the bullet from his leg, and now he is feeling much better than before. 

Govinda said in his audio recording, "I am Govinda. With the blessings of my fans, my parents, and God, I am feeling better now. I was shot, but now I am feeling fine. They have removed the bullet. I thank my doctor, Dr. Agarwal, and all my fans who prayed for my well-being. Thank you very much." 

Hospitalisation and Family Support

Govinda was rushed to the Criticare Hospital in Juhu, Mumbai, after being shot and was admitted to the ICU. His wife Sunita Ahuja was not in the city at the time of the accident. However, she received information about her husband's condition and was relieved to know that he was out of danger. Currently, Govinda's daughter is with him in the hospital, providing the necessary support to the family during his recovery.

Community Reaction

The news of Govinda's accident had created concern among his fans and the film industry. Many took to social media to express their support and best wishes for Govinda. In his follow-up statement, Govinda reassured his fans, saying, "Namaskar, Pranam, Main hun Govinda, Aap sab logon ke ashirwad aur maa-baap ka ashirwad, Guru ki krupa se goli lagi thi par woh nikal gayi hai." His manager confirmed the details of the incident, explaining how Govinda was handling his revolver when the accident happened suddenly. Fortunately, the medical team also responded quickly, ensuring his safety.
