Sanjay Rattan, Jawalamukhi MLA today after paying  paying tributes to the former Prime Minister of India, late Rajiv Gandhi by offering flowers at his picture, inaugurated Blood Donation Camp at Batchat Bhawan Dehra to commemorate the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister late Prime Ministaer Rajiv Gandhi.

Addressing a gathering on the occasion, Sanjay Rattan said that former Prime Minister late Rajiv Gandhi was a visionary leader under whose dynamic leadership the country made rapid progress in various spheres.  He said that Shri Rajiv Gandhi was instrumental in lowering the voting age to 18 years thus giving a right to franchise to the youth of the country.  He was a youth icon who gave new direction to the pace of development to the country and introduced information technology as he firmly believed that India could emerge as world power only after progressing in this field.

MLA Sanjay Rattan congratulated National Students Union of India (NSUI) for winning the maximum seats in recent Student Central Association (SCA) elections in the State.  He said that this victory was due to efforts of NSUI and expressed hope that the organization would perform even better in future.More than 35 persons donated blood on the occasion. Sanjay Rattan  congratulated the blood donors and said that the blood collected would help in saving many precious lives.
