National Lok Adalat Organised At District Barnala

As per the directions of National Legal Services Authority, New Delhi and Punjab State Legal Services Authority, SAS Nagar, National Lok Adalat was organized on 14.09.2024 at District Court Complex, Barnala. Sh. B.B.S. Teji, Ld. Chairman, D.L.S.A. has informed that to dispose of all type of Pre-Litigative and Pending cases by compromise, total 07 benches of Sh. Kapil Dev Singla Addl. District & Sessions Judge, Sh. Deepak Kumar Chaudhary Principal Judge Family Court, Sh. Munish Garg Civil Judge (Sr. Div.), Sh. Anupam Gupta Ld. Civil Judge (Jr. Div.), Ms. Sukhmit Kaur Civil Judge (Jr. Div.) Sh. Rajinder Pal Goyal, Chairman, Permanent Lok Adalat (PUS) and Sh. Ashish Grover, President, District Consumer Commission were constituted.

Sh. Madan Lal, Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Barnala informed that total 7267 cases were taken up in this National Lok Adalat and out of which 5782 Cases were disposed of and awards of Rs.7,84,01,790/- were passed. Sh. B.B.S. Teji, Ld. Chairman, DLSA Barnala informed that there are number of benefits of these National Lok Adalats like speedy disposal of cases, award of Lok Adalat is deemed to be the decree of the Civil Court, no appeal lies against the award of Lok Adalat and further decisions are taken through compromise which leads to peace and tranquillity among the parties and society at large, orders regarding refund of entire Court fee are made, decisions are final in nature etc. 

He appealed the public to get maximum benefits of upcoming National Lok Adalats scheduled to be held on 14.12.2024.
