Rajesh Nagar recommends strict action over negligence in public grievance case in Bhiwani

Haryana Minister of State for Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Sh. Rajesh Nagar, on Monday chaired the District Public Relations and Grievance Redressal Committee held in Bhiwani and directed officers concerned to ensure prompt resolution of public grievances and warned against any negligence in addressing citizens’ concerns during the monthly meeting of the During the meeting, the Minister heard a total of 13 complaints and resolved 11 cases on the spot.

While hearing a complaint related to an RD account at the post office, the Minister recommended strict action over negligence in the matter. He also directed that necessary action, as per rules, be recommended to the competent authorities of the Department of Posts against the officers found responsible during the inquiry.

The Minister stressed that providing citizens with adequate clean drinking water and uninterrupted electricity supply is a top priority of the government. He directed officers to immediately rectify power faults occurring during the monsoon season and ensure early repair of leakages in water supply pipelines so that residents get safe and clean drinking water.

During the meeting, Sh. Rajesh Nagar also heard the complaint of Dharam Singh, a resident of Fancy Chowk, Bhiwani, and directed the police authorities to take prompt action after receiving the medical report in the case.  In another case, the Minister directed the authorities to resolve the drinking water issue by laying a pipeline with police assistance wherever required.

Taking up a complaint regarding the problem of contaminated water, the Minister directed the concerned officers to resolve the issue within 10 days. He further  directed the officers concerned to conduct a ward-wise survey to identify leaking water pipelines and ensure their repair. 

He also directed the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) to examine issues related to the cleaning and maintenance of drains in the city. The Minister reiterated that ensuring timely redressal of public grievances and providing basic civic amenities to citizens remain the government’s foremost priorities.
