The Animal Care Organization (TACO), a flagship animal welfare initiative under the Anil Agarwal Foundation, dedicated a corpus of Rs. 100 crores today towards bolstering animal welfare in Haryana through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Haryana government.
The MoU was signed in the presence of Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh. As part of the MoU, TACO will undertake the upgradation of the Government Veterinary Hospital in Gurugram into a 24x7 multi-speciality animal hospital and commence the construction of an animal birth control (ABC) unit, laboratory, pharmacy, training centre and shelter for extremely critical animals in Haryana. The facility is spread over 2 acres in Kadipur, Gurugram.
The MoU marks a monumental step towards the improvement of animal welfare services in Haryana with the state government inking a 10-year long collaboration with the Anil Agarwal Foundation. As part of the collaboration, TACO will also deploy an ambulance and an advanced mobile health van to provide emergency care services at doorstep.
Speaking on this occasion, the Chief Minister said that he is delighted to witness this significant partnership between The Animal Care Organization and the State Government. The effort to transform the landscape of animal welfare in Haryana, earlier with the Faridabad shelter and now the initiative in Gurugram will vastly improve veterinary care services in our state which the residents of Gurugram as well as nearby cities can make use of.
He said that “I look forward to seeing the positive impact this initiative will have on the well-being of animals and the overall health of our communities”. The Chief Minister instructed the concerned officers to upgrade the care services for the animals in Guashalas.

Ms. Ritu Jhingon, President, Anil Agarwal foundation informed the Chief Minister that excellent services for animal care will be provided including OPD, modern surgical facilities and the use of best practices.
Notably, TACO's initiatives encompass a holistic approach to ‘One Health’, recognizing the interconnection between people, animals, plants, and their shared environment. The organization's shelter in Faridabad, Haryana, is home to 160+ animals, including cows, bulls, and dogs, focusing on rescue, rehabilitation, advanced veterinary care and overall well-being.
Since its inception in 2022, it has treated more than 60,000 animals through its health camps, rescued almost 5,000 animals during the Delhi and Haryana floods, and supported over 460 members of the farmer community through animal OPD services.
Furthermore, TACO's dedication extends to education and training through the TACO Academy, which conducts sessions for veterinarians and paraprofessionals. TACO also supports and strengthens veterinary healthcare services through OPD and ambulance services.
It may be recalled that the Animal Care Organization (TACO) is a unique animal welfare project under the aegis of Anil Agarwal Foundation (AAF). It is aimed at providing world-class infrastructure, veterinary services, a training facility, and animal shelters to heal and protect animals.
TACO’s six pillars of shelter, hospital, academy, wildlife conservation, disaster relief efforts and sectoral development, aim to develop international standards for animal welfare. Advanced animal healthcare, preventive veterinary care, a spay and neuter program, diagnostics, and mobile emergency care units will be the main priorities of the under construction multi-specialty veterinary hospital and Animal Birth Control Centre in Faridabad.
The Anil Agarwal Foundation is the umbrella entity for Vedanta’s community and social initiatives. The focus areas of the Foundation are Healthcare, Women and Child development, Animal Welfare Projects, and Sports Initiatives. हरियाणा में पशु कल्याण को बढ़ावा देने के लिए अनिल अग्रवाल फाउंडेशन के तहत द एनिमल केयर आर्गेनाइजेशन (टाको) ने आज हरियाणा सरकार के साथ एक समझौता ज्ञापन (एमओयू) के माध्यम से 100 करोड़ रुपये की राशि लगाने की पेशकश की है। इस संबंध में मुख्यमंत्री श्री नायब सिंह की मौजूदगी में समझौता ज्ञापन पर हस्ताक्षर किए गए।
समझौता ज्ञापन के तहत, टाको गुरुग्राम में सरकारी पशु चिकित्सालय को 24X7 मल्टीस्पेशलिटी पशु अस्पताल में अपग्रेड करेगा और हरियाणा में अत्यंत गंभीर बीमारियों से ग्रस्त पशुओं के लिए पशु जन्म नियंत्रण (एबीसी) इकाई, प्रयोगशाला, फार्मेसी, प्रशिक्षण केंद्र और आश्रय का निर्माण शुरू करेगा। यह सुविधा गुरुग्राम के कादीपुर में स्थित पशु चिकित्सालय की 2 एकड़ भूमि पर तैयार की जाएगी।
यह समझौता ज्ञापन हरियाणा में पशु कल्याण सेवाओं के सुधार की दिशा में एक महत्वपूर्ण कदम है, जिसमें राज्य सरकार अनिल अग्रवाल फाउंडेशन के साथ 10 साल का सहयोग कर रही है। इस सहयोग के तहत, टाको आपातकालीन देखभाल सेवाएं घर-घर पहुंचाने के लिए एक एम्बुलेंस और एक उन्नत मोबाइल स्वास्थ्य वैन भी तैनात करेगी।
इस अवसर पर मुख्यमंत्री श्री नायब सिंह ने कहा कि द एनिमल केयर ऑर्गनाइजेशन और राज्य सरकार के बीच इस महत्वपूर्ण साझेदारी से पशुओं की उन्नत देखभाल सुनिश्चित होगी। हरियाणा में पशु कल्याण के परिदृश्य को बदलने के प्रयास के अंतर्गत इससे पहले फरीदाबाद में आश्रय और अब गुरुग्राम में पशु चिकित्सा देखभाल सेवाओं में व्यापक सुधार होगा जिसका लाभ गुरुग्राम के साथ-साथ आस-पास के शहरों के निवासी भी उठा सकेंगे।
उन्होंने कहा कि ‘‘मैं इस पहल का पशुओं के कल्याण और हमारे समुदायों के समग्र स्वास्थ्य पर पड़ने वाले सकारात्मक प्रभाव को देखना चाहता हूं’’। इस मौके पर मुख्यमंत्री ने संबंधित अधिकारियों को गौशालाओं में पशुओं के लिए देखभाल सेवाओं को उन्नत करने के निर्देश भी दिए। हिंदुस्तान जिंक लिमिटेड की अध्यक्ष, वेदांता में गैर-कार्यकारी निदेशक और टाको की एंकर, प्रिया अग्रवाल हेब्बार ने कहा कि वे राज्य में पशु कल्याण के बुनियादी ढांचे को बढ़ाने के लिए हरियाणा के साथ एक बार फिर सहयोग करके प्रसन्नता महसूस कर रही हैं।
गुरुग्राम में सरकारी पशु चिकित्सा अस्पताल के उन्नयन के लिए 100 करोड़ रुपये के निवेश के साथ, एक 24x7 मल्टीस्पेशलिटी पशु अस्पताल का निर्माण और देखभाल केन्द्र स्थापित किया जाएगा। प्रिया अग्रवाल ने कहा कि हम हरियाणा में अत्याधुनिक पशु चिकित्सा देखभाल की उपलब्धता सुनिश्चित करने के लिए प्रतिबद्ध हैं।
उन्होंने कहा कि मैं मुख्यमंत्री के निरंतर समर्थन के लिए उनकी आभारी हूं क्योंकि हम ‘वन हेल्थ’ के विज़न की दिशा में काम कर रहे हैं।अनिल अग्रवाल फाउंडेशन की अध्यक्ष रितु झिंगोन ने मुख्यमंत्री को बताया कि गुरूग्राम में उनकी संस्था द्वारा ओपीडी, आधुनिक सर्जिकल सुविधाओं और सर्वोत्तम प्रथाओं के उपयोग सहित पशु देखभाल के लिए उत्कृष्ट सेवाएं प्रदान की जाएंगी।
उल्लेखनीय है कि टाको की पहलों में ‘वन हेल्थ’ के लिए एक समग्र दृष्टिकोण शामिल है, जो लोगों, पशुओं, पौधों और उनके साझा पर्यावरण के बीच अंतर्संबंध को पहचानता है। हरियाणा के फरीदाबाद में आर्गेनाइजेशन का आश्रय स्थल, गायों, बैलों और कुत्तों सहित 160 से अधिक पशुओं का घर है, जो बचाव, पुनर्वास, उन्नत पशु चिकित्सा देखभाल और समग्र कल्याण पर ध्यान केंद्रित करता है।
वर्ष 2022 में अपनी स्थापना के बाद से, इसने अपने स्वास्थ्य शिविरों के माध्यम से 60,000 से अधिक पशुओं का उपचार किया है, दिल्ली और हरियाणा में बाढ़ के दौरान लगभग 5,000 पशुओं को बचाया गया है और पशु ओपीडी सेवाओं के माध्यम से किसान समुदाय के 460 से अधिक सदस्यों का सहयोग भी किया है।
इसके अलावा, टाको अकादमी के माध्यम से पशु चिकित्सकों और पैराप्रोफेशनल्स के लिए सत्र आयोजित भी किए जाते है तथा एम्बुलेंस सेवाओं के माध्यम से पशु चिकित्सा स्वास्थ्य सेवाओं का समर्थन और सुदृढ़ीकरण भी किया जाता है।गौरतलब है कि द एनिमल केयर ऑर्गनाइजेशन (टाको) अनिल अग्रवाल फाउंडेशन के तत्वावधान में एक अनूठी पशु कल्याण परियोजना है।
इसका उद्देश्य विश्व स्तरीय बुनियादी ढांचा, पशु चिकित्सा सेवाएं, प्रशिक्षण सुविधा और पशुओं को ठीक करने और उनकी सुरक्षा के लिए पशु आश्रय प्रदान करना है। टाको के छह स्तंभ आश्रय, अस्पताल, अकादमी, वन्यजीव संरक्षण, आपदा राहत प्रयास और क्षेत्रीय विकास, पशु कल्याण के लिए अंतर्राष्ट्रीय मानक विकसित करने का लक्ष्य हैं। उन्नत पशु स्वास्थ्य सेवा, निवारक पशु चिकित्सा देखभाल, निदान और मोबाइल आपातकालीन देखभाल इकाइयाँ फरीदाबाद में निर्माणाधीन बहु-विशिष्ट पशु चिकित्सा अस्पताल और पशु जन्म नियंत्रण केंद्र की मुख्य प्राथमिकताएँ होंगी।
