Principal Secretary, Department of Employment Generation and Training, Government of Punjab, Mrs Jaspreet Talwar today visited grain Market Kurali and took stock of ongoing procurement operations in the Mandi. She was accompanied by DC Aashika Jain and SDM Kharar Gurmandar Singh.
She said that to check the lifting operations to avoid the glut in Mandis, the Senior Bureaucrats have been assigned the various Mandis to ensure smooth procurement operations. She said that the visit is aimed at ensuring that the farmers do not face any problems in the Mandis.
She said that the farmers to whom she met in Kurali Mandi, expressed satisfaction over the procurement of wheat and said that they have not put on wait for selling their crop in Mandi. They said that though the rains have hampered the season for a while the season is almost near completion.
The Deputy Commissioner Mrs Aashika Jain apprised the Principal Secretary of the current status of the procurement. She said that so far 1,26,100 MT of wheat has been purchased against the expected arrival of 1,39,208 MT which contributes to the 96.84 share of the total arrival. Besides, 68,823 MT of wheat has been lifted which contributes to 64.50 percent of the purchase.
The procurement agencies have been asked to accelerate the lifting to clear the Mandis in the coming days, she further added. Apart from that a payment of Rs 237.56 Cr has also been transferred to the accounts of farmers.Detailing about the Kurali Mandi purchase and payment figures, the Deputy Commissioner apprised the Principal Secretary that a total arrival of 29041 MT has been recorded here, out of which 28947 MT has been purchased.
Similarly, 14005 MT of procured wheat has been lifted from the Kurali Mandi. The Deputy Commissioner assured the Principal Secretary that due to the hassle-free procurement arrangements, the farmers and Arhtiyas would not have to face any issues.

ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੇ ਰੋਜ਼ਗਾਰ ਉਤਪਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਸਿਖਲਾਈ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਮੁੱਖ ਸਕੱਤਰ ਸ੍ਰੀਮਤੀ ਜਸਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਤਲਵਾੜ ਨੇ ਅੱਜ ਅਨਾਜ ਮੰਡੀ ਕੁਰਾਲੀ ਦਾ ਦੌਰਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਮੰਡੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੱਲ ਰਹੇ ਖਰੀਦ ਕਾਰਜਾਂ ਦਾ ਜਾਇਜ਼ਾ ਲਿਆ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਡੀ ਸੀ ਆਸ਼ਿਕਾ ਜੈਨ ਅਤੇ ਐਸ ਡੀ ਐਮ ਖਰੜ ਗੁਰਮੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਵੀ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਸਨ।
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਮੰਡੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਥਾਂ ਦੀ ਕਮੀ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਣ ਲਈ ਲਿਫਟਿੰਗ ਕਾਰਜਾਂ ਦਾ ਜਾਇਜ਼ਾ ਲੈਣ ਲਈ, ਖਰੀਦ ਕਾਰਜਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਚਾਰੂ ਢੰਗ ਨਾਲ ਨੇਪਰੇ ਚਾੜ੍ਹਨ ਲਈ ਸੀਨੀਅਰ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਮੰਡੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਮੇਵਾਰੀ ਸੌਂਪੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਦੌਰੇ ਦਾ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੰਡੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਿਸੇ ਕਿਸਮ ਦੀ ਦਿੱਕਤ ਦਾ ਸਾਹਮਣਾ ਨਾ ਕਰਨਾ ਯਕੀਨੀ ਬਣਾਉਣਾ ਹੈ।
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਕੁਰਾਲੀ ਮੰਡੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਮੁਲਾਕਾਤ ਹੋਈ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਕਣਕ ਦੀ ਖਰੀਦ 'ਤੇ ਤਸੱਲੀ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਮੰਡੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੀ ਫ਼ਸਲ ਵੇਚਣ ਲਈ ਕੋਈ ਲੰਬਾ ਇੰਤਜ਼ਾਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਭਾਵੇਂ ਮੀਂਹ ਨੇ ਸੀਜ਼ਨ ਨੂੰ ਕੁਝ ਸਮੇਂ ਲਈ ਰੋਕਿਆ ਪਰ ਹੁਣ ਸੀਜ਼ਨ ਲਗਪਗ ਮੁਕੰਮਲ ਹੋਣ ਦੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਹੈ।
ਡਿਪਟੀ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ ਸ੍ਰੀਮਤੀ ਆਸ਼ਿਕਾ ਜੈਨ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਮੁੱਖ ਸਕੱਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਖਰੀਦ ਦੀ ਮੌਜੂਦਾ ਸਥਿਤੀ ਤੋਂ ਜਾਣੂ ਕਰਵਾਇਆ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਹੁਣ ਤੱਕ 1,39,208 ਮੀਟਰਕ ਟਨ ਕਣਕ ਦੀ ਸੰਭਾਵਿਤ ਆਮਦ ਦੇ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ 1,26,100 ਮੀਟਰਕ ਟਨ ਕਣਕ ਦੀ ਖਰੀਦ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਚੁੱਕੀ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਕਿ ਕੁੱਲ ਆਮਦ ਦਾ 96.84 ਹਿੱਸਾ ਬਣਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ 68,823 ਮੀਟਰਕ ਟਨ ਕਣਕ ਦੀ ਲਿਫਟਿੰਗ ਹੋ ਚੁੱਕੀ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਕਿ ਖਰੀਦ ਦਾ 64.50 ਫੀਸਦੀ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਬਣਦੀ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਅੱਗੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਖਰੀਦ ਏਜੰਸੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੰਡੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਿਸੇ ਕਿਸਮ ਦੀ ਤੰਗੀ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਣ ਲਈ ਲਿਫਟਿੰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੇਜ਼ੀ ਲਿਆਉਣ ਲਈ ਕਿਹਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ 237.56 ਕਰੋੜ ਰੁਪਏ ਦੀ ਅਦਾਇਗੀ ਵੀ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਖਾਤਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਤਬਦੀਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਕੁਰਾਲੀ ਮੰਡੀ ਦੀ ਖਰੀਦ ਅਤੇ ਅਦਾਇਗੀ ਦੇ ਅੰਕੜਿਆਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਡਿਪਟੀ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਮੁੱਖ ਸਕੱਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਇੱਥੇ ਕੁੱਲ 29041 ਮੀਟਰਿਕ ਟਨ ਦੀ ਆਮਦ ਦਰਜ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ 28947 ਮੀਟਰਿਕ ਟਨ ਦੀ ਖਰੀਦ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਚੁੱਕੀ ਹੈ।
ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੁਰਾਲੀ ਮੰਡੀ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ 14005 ਮੀਟਰਿਕ ਟਨ ਕਣਕ ਦੀ ਲਿਫਟਿੰਗ ਹੋ ਚੁੱਕੀ ਹੈ। ਡਿਪਟੀ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਮੁੱਖ ਸਕੱਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਦਿਵਾਇਆ ਕਿ ਖਰੀਦ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਿਰਵਿਘਨ ਹੋਣ ਕਾਰਨ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਆੜ੍ਹਤੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਸੇ ਕਿਸਮ ਦੀ ਦਿੱਕਤ ਦਾ ਸਾਹਮਣਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਨਾ ਪਵੇਗਾ।
