The Haryana Governor Sh Bandaru Dattatreya today paid a visit to former Deputy Prime Minister Sh. Lal Krishna Advani at his residence to congratulate him on being honoured with the highest civilian award of India “Bharat Ratna”. Mr Dattatreya also congratulated the Government of India for recognising Mr Advani’s invaluable contributions towards the country and conferring him with this prestigious award.
He said, “I was delighted and blessed to meet the stalwart with such a towering personality.” After meeting Mr Advani at his residence in Delhi, Mr Dattatreya said, “We undertook a discussion down memory lane and exchanged pleasantries. He smiled and laughed at the good memories we exchanged during our journey together in the late eighties till 2014 to make the nation a better place.”
The Governor said that Mr Advani’s contributions have significantly shaped the landscape for growth of modern India. He provided instrumental leadership and showcased his capability of being a “statesman” in steering the country in the right direction. Mr Dattatreya wished Mr Advani good health and longevity so that his august presence keeps the young leaders in the righteous path of nation building.

दिल्ली में श्री आडवाणी से उनके आवास पर मुलाकात करने के पश्चात श्री दत्तात्रेय ने कहा कि “हमने पुरानी यादों को ताजा करते हुए चर्चा की और संस्मरण साँझे किए । हमने अस्सी के दशक के अंत से लेकर 2014 तक देश को विकसित करने के लिए साथ बिताए गए अपने सफर के दौरान की बातों को भी साझा किया और वे इस दौरान की बेहतरीन यादों पर मुस्कुराए और हंसे"।
राज्यपाल ने कहा कि श्री आडवाणी के योगदान ने आधुनिक भारत के विकास के परिदृश्य को महत्वपूर्ण रूप से आकार दिया है और उन्होंने महत्वपूर्ण नेतृत्व प्रदान किया तथा देश को सही दिशा में ले जाने में एक “राजनेता” होने की अपनी क्षमता का बेहतरीन प्रदर्शन किया। श्री दत्तात्रेय ने श्री आडवाणी के अच्छे स्वास्थ्य और दीर्घायु की कामना की ताकि उनकी गरिमामय उपस्थिति युवा नेताओं को राष्ट्र निर्माण के सही मार्ग पर चलने को प्रेरित करती रहे।
