Chairperson, District Development Council, Ramban, Dr. Shamshad Shan kick started work on a tractor road from Polytechnic College to Bagwan panchayat Dhandrath and a play field. The 500 meter tractor road would be completed with an estimated cost of Rs 2.52 lakh while the play field is being developed under Area Development Funds of DDC at a cost of Rs 2.10 lakh.

DDC member, Rajgarh Mohd Shafi, Sarpanch Mehraj Khan and government officers and PRIs were present on the occasion. Speaking on the occasion, the DDC Chairperson said that with the completion of these two projects, long pending demand of the area would be fulfilled. 

The road will provide smooth transport connectivity to the area benefiting a huge number of people. Responding to the demands highlighted by the locals, the Chairperson said that the government is committed to meet all genuine aspirations of the people. 

She asked the PRIs to bring public demands and issues in the notice of administration for their timely redressal. She said the government has empowered the PRIs by involving them in development and other activities at grassroots level.
