As part of on-going Gandhi Jayanti Celebrations 2023, the NSS Units of Sri Pratap College, Srinagar today organized awareness cum sensitization talk on ‘Relevance of Gandhian Ideology in Globalizing Times’.

The talk was delivered by Professor Gull Mohammad Wani, Professor of Political Sciences, University of Kashmir. The resource person spoke at length about Gandhian values of truth, conflict resolution, peace and the key values comprising humanity. He also deliberated upon the relevance of Gandhian values in the contemporary socio-political scenario.

In his address, the Principal of the College, Prof (Dr) Ghulam Jeelani Qureshi spoke about the importance of inculcating Gandhian values and the dire need to organize relevant lectures and sensitization programmes.The event was attended by 150 NSS Volunteers and other students of the college who interacted with the resource person towards the end of the talk.

Dr. Nadia Shah, Assistant Professor and NSS PO deliberated upon the role of NSS in educational institutions. She highlighted the achievements of NSS Units of Sri Pratap College.
