District Development Commissioner, Udhampur Ghan Sham Singh today chaired a meeting to review the progress of works approved under District Capex Budget (Area Development Plan 2023-24) in the District.
He took stock of the status of tendering process, allotment of works, start of the works/completion status as also the expenditure incurred on the works being executed by the Rural Development Department and Other Sectors.
The meeting was attended by the Officers from PWD (R&B),JPDCL, Jal Shakti, Ground Water, Health, Education, JAKEDA, FCS&CA, Animal Husbandry, Sheep Husbandry, POSHAN, Agriculture, Youth Services and Sports and Forest Department.
Chief Planning Officer, Mudassir Yaqoob Zargar, District Programme Officer POSHAN, Subash Dogra, Assistant Commissioner Development Dr Ranjeet Singh Kotwal and other Departmental Officers were also present in the Meeting.
A detailed Sector-wise/Block wise review was held with the concerned District Officers. It was informed that of 2286 works approved under District Capex /ADP, 2077 works are being executed by the Rural Development Department and remaining 209 by other Departments.
Executive Engineers of PWD(R&B), JPDCL, PWD, Jal Shakti, REW were advised to fast pace tendering /allotment of pending works of their respective Departments so that execution is completed in a time bound manner.
The ACD and all the Block Development Officers of the District were asked to closely monitor the working and performance of their field-functionaries and ensure early completion of execution of works on the ground without compromising the quality.
