On the auspicious occasion of Independence Day, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann bestowed state awards upon courageous individuals in recognition of their dedicated services. Dr. Sanjeev Kumar SDM Khamaon, who hails from Kharar, was honored for his remarkable contributions to public interests. His noble deeds have earned him notable honors and acclaim.
Including Sanjeev Kumar SDM Khamaon, 13 acclaimed personalities were rewarded by the Chief Minister for their noteworthy contribution made in various fields which included personalities from numerous fields including social activists, artistes, litterateurs, poets, progressive farmers, environmentalists, government officials among others. Not only this, 19 police officers were awarded too with the Chief Minister’s Police Medal in remark to their honoured services .
The Chief Minister conferred Certificate and cash award to the prestigious identities. Sanjeev Kumar SDM Khamaon received the honour for his major contribution. Beside him Sanjeev Kumar, other personalities naming from Sanvi Sood of Roopnagar, Harjinder Kaur of Patiala, Sukhdev Singh & Fateh Singh Patwari (both from Pathankot), Ekamjot Kaur of Patiala, Major Singh of Taran Taran, Paramjeet Singh of Bathinda, Saleem Mohammed of Jalandhar, Gagandeep Kaur Science Mistress of Patiala, Sukhpal Singh Science Master of Barnala, Col. Jasdeep Sandhu Advisor-cum-Principal Director Civil Military Affairs, Head Quarters Western Command and Santosh Kumar Commandant 7th Battalion of NDRF, Bathinda.
