In a show of communal harmony, Political social activist Angad Singh Khalsa on Saturday distributed Water, and other beverages among mourners at the historic Alamgari Bazar Chowk on the eve of Ashoora.

Angad Singh Khalsa told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that martyrs who offered their precious life for the cause of righteousness, justice and faith are inspiration for all human races.

“This day is an inspirational day for all sects, whether they are, political, social, or anyone else. Today on Ashoora eve, we are here because we have our own communal harmony and a bond. We all gather on each and every religious occasion of ours,” he said.

He said that the day of Ashoora is not only for the Shia Muslim community, but for all sectors of life. A martyr is an inspiration for the whole of the world. “The battle of Karbala gives us the message that we should always stand with truth and should never take our step back when we know we are on the path of truth,” he said.

Sparking about the historical eighth Muharram rally, he said he welcomes the step as it’s a great religious step and we are very happy about this, but on the same we want to ask if this rally could be allowed in 2023, why not before this?—(KNO)
