Deputy Commissioner Navjot Pal Singh Randhawa, during a press conference on completion of three years of National Education Policy 2020, said that the National Education Policy has proved to be very effective. Facilities are being provided at par with private schools in government schools. Vocational education is being given to the students in the schools itself, so that the students can progress along with the coming time. 

The press conference was held on completion of three years of National Education Policy 2020 at the administrative complex. Principal Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Pojewal Ravinder Kumar were also present on this occasion.

The Deputy Commissioner said that due to the good education facilities in the district, many NRIs have settled abroad after studying. Many citizens of the district are rendering their services in various fields such as the armed forces, which is a matter of great pride for the district. All this has become possible only because of the increased educational facilities. 

He said that education policy is very important for a country, if our education policy is strong, then we can be very strong economically, socially and politically. Subsequently, Principal Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Pojewal Ravinder Kumar gave detailed information about the National Education Policy and said that this policy is proving to be very good for the bright future of the students. 

Under this policy, efforts are being made to promote the education policy to students and teachers through new technologies. After this, with the help of SDM, Nawanshahr Dr. Shivraj Singh Bal, 25 children whose school bags were damaged during the rains were provided new bags by Just Seva Society, Amritsar.

On this occasion, District Education Officer Jarnail Singh, District Science Supervisor Mr. Satnaam Singh, Principal Government School Langroya Dr. Agnihotri, Principal Government School, Nawanshahr Sanjeev Duggal, Lecturer Sanjeev Thakur, Lecturer Government School Langroya Jaswinder Singh and other principals, teachers and children of different schools were present.
