Joint Director Youth Services and Sports Jammu, Suram Chand Sharma today felicitated young Wushu star Jiya Manhas for securing First Position in International Wushu Championship recently concluded at Moscow, Russia. Jiya has earlier played in a few National level competitions and National women's league in the u-14 thirty six Kg category. 

The Wushu player was honored on the occasion of Inter-Dist Division Level tournament for selection of Divisional level Team (Girls) U-14 & U-17 for Subroto Cup where Girls from Poonch district entered the UT Level competitions to be held shortly. 

Speaking on the occasion, Suram Sharma congratulated Jiya Manhas for her achievement in Wushu and appreciated her hard work in acquiring perfection in the event. He also lauded the role of her parents who motivated and encouraged her to participate in games. He also urged for a vigorous campaign against drug addiction.
