In a world where technology has connected us like never before, the power of social media and viral videos cannot be underestimated. While some videos bring joy and positivity, others exploit and demean individuals, leaving a profound impact on those who stumble upon them.

Actress Jyoti Saxena, known for her strong advocacy for women's rights and empowerment, recently expressed her deep sense of shock and disgust upon witnessing a viral video depicting the parade of naked women in Manipur, India.

The horrific video of two women paraded naked by a mob and then gang-raped, which emerged from strife-torn Manipur, sparked nationwide outrage Wednesday night, evoking calls for strong action against perpetrators by the public across social media.

Jyoti Saxena says, "I am deeply shaken and disturbed badly  by the recent video from Manipur, which showcases the most despicable and dehumanizing treatment of women. My heart goes out to the victims who were subjected to this gross violation of their dignity.

We live in a country like India where such tragic and disgusting incident is made aware to the audience through social media and no one from the state wishes to stand firm and raise their voice. When will women really be safe in our country and live as a free spirit?"

She further says, "We have once again proudly failed over Humanity and Unity. But i really hope and pray that from now it should be essential for all of us to stand united against such heinous acts and demand justice for the victims. I hope those responsible receive such severe punishment that no one will ever consider carrying out such a heinous act again."

The ethnic clashes erupted in the state on May 3, during a rally organised by the All Tribals Students Union (ATSU). The rally was held in protest by Kukis against the demand for the inclusion of Meiteis in the Scheduled Tribe (ST) list.
