Horticulture Planning and Marketing Department Udhampur today organised an awareness camp for farmers, FPOs and Cooperatives here at Panchayat Ghar Khoon.Sarpanch Khoon Panchayat, ward members, Area Marketing Officer,Officers from Agriculture & allied departments, DNO & DRP PMFME and Manager J&K Bank Khoon branch were present in the awareness camp.
Area Marketing Officer Udhampur asked the farmers to come forward and avail the benefits of different schemes in the Agriculture and allied sectors. He informed that the PMFME scheme has been launched by the government under Atmnirbhar Bharat Abhiyan and offers facilities like easy Bank finance, 35% subsidy, complete hand holding for registrations like FSSAI, Udhyam, preparation of DPR, labelling, packaging, branding and marketing. He added that the Khoon area has vast scope for processing of milk, maize and jaggery.
