The ongoing wrestlers' protest is daily taking a new turn and something shocking is happening one after another as recently the protesters were detained and were recklessly dragged and removed from the protest site. It has been more than a month now they have been demanding justice since April 23 while sitting at the protest at Jantar Mantar. The top wrestlers have now decided to immerse their medals in the Ganga river and sit on a hunger strike.

India's top Wrestlers including Sakshi Malik, Bajrang Punia and Sangeeta Phogat have revealed their decision of immersing their medals while giving the statements through their official Twitter handles. They have decided to go to Haridwar today on Tuesday and immerse their medals into the Ganga river at 6 pm.

Sakshi Malik shared a post on Twitter which said, these medals are our lives, our souls. There will be no point left for us to live after immersing them into the river. We will sit on the hunger strike until death at India Gate which is a place for all the martyrs who gave their life for the country.

Have A Look At The Tweet:

The tweet also said that the President has maintained silence, the Prime Minister who called us the daughters invited the alleged (Brij Bhushan Singh) to the inauguration of the new Parliament house who even posed for pictures wearing white clothes. They asked where their place was.

“We are going to immerse these medals into river Ganga... The more sacred we consider the Ganga, the more sacredly we had achieved these medals by toiling hard. These medals are sacred for the whole country and the right place should be in the Ganga itself,” the tweet also said in Hindi.

This protest is getting worse day by day and giving heartbreaking news. Since 23 April they are just sitting demanding justice while protesting against Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh alleged for sexual harassment levelled against him by female athletes, including a minor.
