Chief Education Officer Udhampur, Geetu Bangotra today inaugurated the kindergarten block in the Government Higher Secondary School Battal Balian. She was accompanied by DEPO, Girija Challu, AD Planning, Darshan Kumar and Principal of GHSS Battal Balian Neeru Bala. Principal, Staff members and students accorded a warm welcome to the CEO on her arrival in the school premises.
The children were welcomed in the kindergarten block by the CEO. She distributed sweets among students and staff members.Admissions of a few students in the pre-primary classes were also made by the CEO. She also interacted with little buds.
A cultural programme was also organized on the occasion wherein cultural items like dance, songs, yoga etc were presented by the students. The event was also attended by parents of the students.
The Chief Education Officer lauded the Principal of the School and staff for their efforts in shaping the career of the students both in academics as well as co-curricular activities. She expressed satisfaction over the functioning of the school.
The CEO said that the students are the future of the nation and as per NEP 2020 every effort is being made by the department to give the best education to the children so that they can become assets of the country.
She said that collective efforts needed to enroll each and every child in the school.Principal of the school presented the vote of thanks to the Chief Education Officer and other dignitaries.
